Obituary of Raymond John Tarchak

Raymond John Tarchak, 65, of Hilton Head, SC, died Wed. October 4, at St. Josephs Hospital in Savannah, GA.
Mr. Tarchak was born on October 7, 1940 in Taylor, PA to the late Emily (Gurz) and John Tarchak. He grew up in Old Forge, PA and attended Mansfield State University in Mansfield, PA.
He had lived in Rockaway, NJ and Taught science at Morris Knolls High School in Denville, NJ from 1965 to 2000. He coached little league baseball in Rockaway and was a basketball coach at Morris Knolls and also at the County College of Morris in Randolph, NJ. Upon retiring in 2000, he moved to Hilton Head, SC where he worked at golf courses at Palmetto Dunes, Shipyard, and Moss Creek.
He is survived by a son, Steven Tarchak, of Mill Valley, CA, a daughter, Lisa Marie Tarchak, of Brooklyn, NY, and their mother, Barbara, of Wharton, NJ.
Funeral from Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave Denville, NJ www.normandean.com, on Monday Oct. 9, at 11AM. Interment at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Chester, NJ. Relatives and friends will be received on Sunday Oct. 8 from 4-6PM.
Mr. Tarchaks mother died of A.L.S. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the A.L.S. Asociation, S.C. Chapter in Organization, P.O. Box 280, Charleston, S.C. 29402.
