Robert Park Gillis, 82, of Denville, NJ died on Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at St. Clare's Hospital in Denville.
Mr. Gillis was born in Cambridge, MA and attended Cambridge Latin High School. He graduated from Harvard College in 1952 and served in the U.S. Army before working for the General Electric Company for over 30 years. Prior to moving to Denville in 1998, he resided in Montclair, NJ for 39 years.
Mr. Gillis is survived by his wife, Catherine; his children, Robert, Kathryn and her husband Antonio Proto, Timothy and his wife Suzan, Louise, and William and his wife Carrie; his grandchildren Matthew and Jack Proto, and Caroline, Timothy, and James Gillis; and his brother Neil and his wife Madeleine Gillis.
Friends are invited to visit on Sunday October 14, 2012 at Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave Denville, NJ 07834 from 2-5PM followed by a prayer service at 5PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to St. Jude's Children's Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
