I have known Rich for 35 years as a wonderful neighbor & friend. Having a house that was built in 1923 brought about quite a few big, unexpected projects for me. Rich always calmed me down & said "relax, 'we' can take care of it" ("we", of course, meaning he). And he always did. Rich is the perfect model of why we are on this earth, lest we forget. It's not what we have but what we do & why we do it. He gave purely out of the goodness of his heart. May I always remember to pay it forward as he did. What a wonderful soul he was and how he will be missed by all those he touched. And don't worry, Rich, we will all take care of the love of your life. Rest in peace, my dear friend, and look over us all.

"Uncle Richie" was one of the most resourceful, strong and unselfish people that I have ever had the privilege to know. Rainbow Lakes is a special place for many people. For me, I always knew that I was lucky to live next door to Liz and Rich for 28 years. He was always there to help everyone and we were all amazed with what he could do and what we all learned from him. He raised 3 wonderful kids and loved his grandchildren. But the love between Liz and Rich was so special and always obvious to all who knew them. This is a true loss for all of us that are lucky to call Rainbow Lakes "home". I know that Rich will still be standing by all of our projects to make sure they're done right! My thoughts are with all of you.

Although you are gone, you will be remembered and missed dearly. From you eating all my candy or what you thought was candy, to having to yell for you to hear me. From cutting down a tree and almost hitting our house, to "fixing" everything. From your crazy stories of the past, to you still climbing trees and fixing roofs at your age. I love you, poppy. R.I.P.
