Obituary of Mildred I. Crum
Mildred “Millie” Irene Crum, of Mt. Tabor, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Mon., Sept. 11th at Care One at Morris in Parsippany. She was 82 years young.
Born in Morristown to the late Floyd and Caroline Law, she was raised in Whippany. She graduated from Morristown High School and had several jobs, including working as a secretary in New York City before meeting and marrying Howard Crum in 1962. Millie was a devout woman of God who loved to study the Bible. She took great pleasure in sharing her favorite hymns by e-mail with her family. Above anything else, she was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She will forever be treasured in our hearts and souls.
Predeceased by her siblings, Paul Law, Sarah Hart, and Phyllis Penrose, left to keep her legacy alive are her beloved children, Cheryl (the late Patrick) Capo of Mt. Tabor, Jeffrey H. Crum of Rockaway, Leann (Peter) Eck of Raleigh, NC, and Jennifer (John) Rickershauser of Morristown; her cherished grandchildren, Nicole Capo, Laura (Ross) Cameron, Jodi (Gareth) Chitticks, Jared (Jaime) Crum, Rev. Peter (Katie Lynn) Eck, Katie (Andrew) Camplen, and Joshua Crum; her great-grandchildren, Hannah-Grace, Jane, Caleb, Haven-Elizabeth, Kaden, and Clifton; her caring siblings, Carole Sederberg and Margaret Osmers; and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Public Visitation will be held on Thursday, Sept. 14th from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at Norman Dean Home for Services, 16 Righter Ave., Denville, NJ 07834. Funeral Service will be held at 10 am on Friday, Sept. 15th at Norman Dean Home for Services. Burial will follow at Laurel Grove Cemetery, Totowa.
