Eugene Quintin Belote, Jr., 56, of Lake Hopatcong, NJ passed away peacefully in his home, Saturday January 18,, 2014.
He was born in Memphis, Tennessee to Eugene Quintin Belote, Sr. and the late Margaret Joy Belote. During his first year he lived in Heidelberg Germany then returned to the States. He has been a resident of New Jersey since 1973.
He is survived by his two daughters Rachel and Sarah Belote and their mother Lynn Preuss Belote; grandson Venicio Falzone; father, Eugene Quintin Belote Sr. and his wife Maureen Belote; his siblings, Cynthia Masso, Elizabeth Knight, John Belote, Paul Belote, Marie Belote, Carol Young and Ryan Stollenmaier; nieces and nephews, Alexis Belote, John Austin and Jessica Belote, Maggie and RJ Mulgrew, Angelo and Mario Masso, and Ethan, Sophie, Jessie, Emmitt, and Vivienne Young. He is predeceased by his mother Margaret Joy Belote and brother Gregory Vincent Belote.
Gene will be remembered for his kind heart and loving, vibrant personality. He was passionate in all of his endeavors including his business past, Dutchland Flowers and present, School of Music Studio; his love of music – which he shared with his family, friends, band members and students; and his many fishing adventures.
A memorial service will be held at 1pm on Thursday January 23rd, 2014 at Christ Church, 140 Green Pond Rd, Rockaway Township, NJ 07866.
Donations are being accepted to the Knee Deep Club, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to preserving and promoting the natural resources of New Jersey's largest lake, Lake Hopatcong.
