Obituary of Dale K. Denning

Dale Denning, of Denville, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, June 23, 2016 at Morristown Medical Center after a valiant fight with brain cancer for 1 ½ years. She was 62 years young.
Born in Joliet, IL, she was raised in Locust Valley, NY. She graduated from New York University with an MFA. Dale was the first woman to become a member of the International Cinematographers Union Local 644. She had a passion for making movies, commercials, and anything to do with cinematography. After years of success in the film industry, she became a full time Mom to her 4 adored children.
While raising her children, she freelanced as a Wedding Photographer. Dale was an avid gardener and a proud member of the Denville Community Gardens for the past thirty years. She completed a master gardener program at Rutgers University for Agricultural Studies. She was truly a master of gardening and enjoyed the time spent there with her children playing nearby.
Dale also enjoyed cooking, hiking, walking dogs, and traveling. She was a world traveler, having climbed Mt Kilimanjaro as a young teen, to exploring the ruins of Ephesus, Pompeii, Israel, and scuba diving in many of the world's greatest reefs. She glorified time with her family; was an exceptional mother and friend who will be never be forgotten to all those whose lives she touched.
Predeceased by her cherished son, Scot MacArthur Kelsch (1984) and her mother Kathleen (Mathers) Denning, she is survived by her beloved children, Chris Kelsch, Nina Kelsch, Joy Kelsch Coleman and husband Michael Coleman; her father, Joseph Dale Denning; her former husband and current friend, Ken Kelsch; her caring best friend, Carlene Boghigian; her worshiped pups, Yoshi, Otis, and Nico; and many other extended family and friends.
Memorial Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 28th from 7 – 9 pm with a Funeral Service beginning at 8 pm at Norman Dean Home for Services, 16 Righter Ave., Denville, NJ 07834. Memorial Donations can be made honoring the memory of Dale by way of www.inmemoryof-memorial.org to the National Brain Tumor Society or the Palliative Care Unit at Morristown Medical Center.
