Denis in my eyes was a very great man and ever since I was little I always looked up to him. He had to be one of the most intelligent men I've known. Since I've been in diapers I have been chasing after trout, I always loved listening to his amazing stories of him and my father (Craig Ferfecki.) He was an incredible story teller, trout enthusiast and philosopher, fly fisherman, land and water preserver, and a great father. He will always be my uncle and somebody I will look up to. I won't ever forget the strong glare in his eyes when he was pointing out the perfect spot to toss a fly in the streams in New Jersey. He will be very missed by tons of people, he was cared for a lot, and many of people looked up to him.

You have been a part of our family for over 22 years losing you will be difficult to get thru. We have gone thru many challenges, changes, ups & downs thats what families do. Thank you for always loving and taking care of my sister Laura, Erik & Emma and excepting our family as part of yours. We may not have always agreed on everything but we both had a common bond and love for Laura. I will miss you and promise to always be there for Laura and the kids. Two words immediately come to mind when I think of Denis.
Those two words are Semper Fidelis, which means; Always Faithful.
That basically sums up Denis in a nut shell, always faithful.
Always faithful to his loving bride Laura, and his two young children Erik and Emma.
And always faithful to his friends.
Denis was always there to share of himself, whether it be his vast knowledge of fishing and the outdoors, or be it his lunch.
There was not one fishing trip that we shared, were I did not find some sort of humor or laughter.
Denis was a great guy, and will truly be missed.

To Laura, Erik and Emma: We will be forever grateful for having all of you in our lives, especially Denis. Know out hearts are very heavy yet we are thankful we were able to spend one last time with the 4 of you on Saturday night. We will always remember the great times we had sitting around your kitchen table reminiscing about the good ole' days and singing the best songs ever created. Whenever we hear CCR or George Thorogood, the Eagles and yes, the Bay City Rollers, we will always think back to that one last chance we had spending a fun evening with all of you. I look back now and say, if only we stayed longer, but it was time for Denis to go to a better place. I wish I could just thank him for being such a super second Dad to Chris. For all the fishing trips, outdoor adventurers and odd jobs he took Chris on, we thank you ! For teaching Chris many different things about fishing, we thank you and especially for sometimes knocking some sense into Chris, we really thank you ! In the words of Terry Jacks, "We had joy, we had fun, we had seasons in the sun, but the wine and the song like the seasons have all gone." May God hold you in His arms, Denis, we love and miss you so !!!!!!!
