Charles W. Taylor passed away at Atlantic City Medical Center after suffering a stroke at Harrah's Casino on Saturday November 19, 2011. Born in Monroe, NJ he had lived in Mt. Lakes for 35 years before moving to Rockaway Twp., NJ in 2004. Charles was in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and served on the battleship "WASP". He and his wife together owned Freeman Auto Parts in Morristown, NJ for 30 years before retiring in 1999. Charles was a member of the Community Methodist Church of Mt. Tabor, and after retiring had been a crossing guard for Stoneybrook School in Rockaway. He was predeceased by his sister Ruth Jean Laurie in 1994. Charles is survived by his wife of 52 years Anne (Sheldon) Taylor of Rockaway Twp., NJ. His son Charles Jr. and his wife Barbara of Denville, and his daughter Barbara Taylor and her husband Gregg of Rockaway, NJ also survive him. Funeral services will be held on Monday November 28, 2011 at 11AM at Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave Denville, NJ 07834. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Sunday from 2-6PM.
