Charlie was one of the nicest people I have ever known. He always had a smile on his face and had such a gentle manner. I am so sorry for your loss. You are in my prayers.

Sorry I spelled my wife's last name wrong. Hey, I remembered one of my favorite memories. I was a little numb before. Hey Dad, how about you and I sailing on Mountain Lake! Those were good times. How about the boy scout canoe trip down the Delaware when we fliped over at Skinners Falls. Soaken wet, on shore, changing clothes in about 40 degree air. I was so scared but you told me we would be ok. I think you were a little scared yourself, as this was our firest time on the river. Love ya Dad.

I remember the first time I met you at the shore house I felt a connection to you. You did'nt judge me being divorced with four small children. You accepted me for who I was and accepted my situation and knew I loved your son. After that I remember at the shore house you and I having coffee in the early morning on the deck waiting for
Bud and his mom to wake up. I always felt like you were my second father. I love you and miss you. We will see each other in heaven. God bless you, Charlie, and I promise you I will be there for your son as I love him with all my heart. Love, your second daughter, with love, Barbara.

Dear Anne, Barbara and Buddy:
So very sorry to hear of Charlie passing--he was such a gentle giant...! 52 years plus of memories-from Morristown to Mt. Tabor, to Mt. Lakes and then to Rockaway! What wonderful times and memories you all have. May you find comfort in knowing that he went fast, not lingering to be in pain or a burden. Hope there are table games in heaven....
Bless all of you. Cindy and George Shepard, Venice, Florida

Barbara and family, I wish there were words of comfort I could say at this difficult time that expressed how my heart goes out to you. Time with loved ones is never enough, and I pray that all the memories of your dad bring comfort now, and in the future.
Love to you always,
Eileen

I remember when Charlie and his wife handed out candy at the crosswalk on Halloween when we got out of school. After he found out I was allergic to peanuts he came to my house and gave me $1.00 to buy candy that I could have. I will never forget him.
