I worked with Pete at Bell Labs for about seven years. I remember him as a very, very nice and willingly helpful gentleman who always was agreeable to take the time to help a co-worker who was new to all the activities in the Bell Labs department that we both worked in. My condolences to all.

I can never forget all those motorcycle adventures, trips back and forth to each others house on Friday nights so we could go out for clams, muscles, and other seafood. But most of all, I value the personal sharing in private talks. My best friend is sorely missed.

Pete was a wonderful human being, who (since 1993, when he first started working as a hotline volunteer) probably helped a couple of thousand individuals recognize that they weren't alone in facing the many different adversities that they phoned with. It was earlier that same year that I first meet Pete, when we were "roommates" in the cardiac section of the hospital. He was an especially friendly and kind gentleman, who taught us photography tricks, and took delight in helping people in need.

Mrs. Lodato and family: I am so sorry to hear about Pete. He was the sweetest, kindest man. I loved working with him at the New Jersey Self-Help Clearinghouse for many years on Thursdays. He and his wife were so kind to me when I broke my leg and sent me special cards. I missed him not being here and will miss him dearly. He was so kind to me hearing about my husband's health issues all the time and cared deeply. Take care.

Uncle Pete was a good uncle, nice to party with and also a biker. I enjoyed some of his biker stories with Gene Pert. Corinne and I will miss him

I remember Uncle Pete and my dad in some deep discussion, and then Uncle Pete would just laugh. I always thought of him as a happy guy.
