Gary J. Rizzo passed away at his home in Rockaway Twp., NJ on Thursday April 28, 2011.
He was 59 years old.
Born in Passaic, he had lived in Denville for 25 years before moving to Rockaway Twp., NJ one year ago.
Gary worked as a stone setter for Union Local #1 B.A.C. (Brick Layers and Allied Craft Workers) in New York City for 10 years. Prior to working in NYC he had owned his own home improvement business for many years.
He was predeceased by his mother Antoinette Marie in 2007.
Gary was a devoted husband and father and lived by the motto: "It is what it is".
He is survived by his beloved wife of 32 years Anne Marie "Amy" (Burns) Rizzo of Rockaway Twp., NJ. His loving children Matthew Rizzo of Rockaway, NJ and Sandra Rizzo of Phoenix, AZ also survive him as well as his cherished mother in-law Pearl Burns and his brother's and sister's in-law Janice, Jacklyn, Paul, Thomas, Nancy, Eileen, Peter, Theresa, Michael and Patrick and their families, and many Nieces & Nephews.
Funeral services will begin at 10AM on Tuesday May 3, 2011 at Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave Denville, NJ 07834 and then going to St. Catherine of Siena Church in Mt. Lakes, NJ for an 11AM Liturgy of Christian Burial Mass. Friends may visit in Monday May 2, 2001 from 4:00 - 8:00PM.
