Patrick S. Grennan, 85, passed away on Sunday February 27, 2011 at Compassionate Care Hospice at Saint Clare’s Hospital in Dover, NJ.
Mr. Grennan was born in Legan, County Longford, Ireland and moved to the United States in 1955 and lived in Bergenfield before moving to the Indian Lake section of Denville 11 years ago. He was a Doorman at the Sheraton Hotel in New York City, NY from 1964 to his retirement in 1996.
He was predeceased by his wife Mary Bridget (Burke) Grennan.
He is survived by his children, Gerard of Toronto, Patrick of Greenwood Lake, NY, Cathal of Morristown, NJ, Catherine of Manhattan, NY, Regina of Vienna, Austria, Kieran of Denville, Ursula of Detroit, MI and his 10 grandchildren and his sister Mae Dardis of Ireland.
Funeral services will begin at 10am Wednesday March 2nd at Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave., Denville, NJ for a 11am Mass of Christian Burial service at St. Mary’s Church in Denville. Friends may visit on Tuesday March 1st from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Please light a candle in memory of Patrick on web site at www.normandean.com.
