I am Sister Immaculata - a sister of mercy in Edinburgh. I remember Paddy when we in our grannies. He was 8 and i was 7. We had great fun paddling in a stream catching the tiny fish and generally getting wet and untidy while our sisters Angela (his) and Pauline (mine) disapproved from the safety of the river bank. We were great friends and he even tried to give me tarpaulin wings so that i could fly (luckily from the top of the hay in the shed to a lower lever). I only met him once as an adult when he visited us sister mary joseph (mona)in Curry one summer in the 80s. Mona died 1992 (RIP).
My sincere sympathy to the family and promise of prayers for all of you and for Paddy (RIP).
Love,
Marian

Uncle Paddy was always "larger than life". He showed great enthusiasm even for simple chores that he had to do. He was a terrific host and seems to have had an "open door" policy for any relatives and friends. He was certainly a good ambassador for the Irish! Our thoughts are with you all at this sad time.

Beautiful memories of Paddy and Brendan together. As is said in Ireland, they come from the 'old stock' and lovely Mary cooked Brendan and I a beautiful dinner in 1964 before we left USA to start our new home, business and family in Longford. Rest in peace now Paddy with your Mary. Last time we met Paddy was in Brendan Jrs home at No. 1 in Rockfield where he, Christine and their children still live in a different house. It was nice knowing you. Sincerest sympathy to all you very much loved family of Mary and Paddy. Rita Longford Ireland - Mother of Brendan Patrick Jr Farrell and Mairead Stack nee Farrell

My father, Brendan Farrell and Paddy were great friends when Dad was still living in NYC. My father talked of Paddy often and I remember visiting Paddy with my mom and Dad (Rita and Brendan) many years ago on one of our visits to the USA from Ireland. My dad Brendan passed away on Dec 24th last. I am hoping they are together again telling stories and jokes like the old days. Go neiri suiochan ar a anam.

Paddy, you were one if my Father's (Brendan Farrell) favorite people. He departed on his journey this past December 24th - no doubt to pave the way for your visit. You are both together now with your many other Longford friends and I hope you are both telling your stories and dancing up a storm. Brendan Farrell, Denville.

Pat, I am going to miss you the most. We were buddies and did several projects together.Of course there were some arguments and disagreements, and you know what, that made our lives interesting. Bottom line is that we were still friends and admired each other. I am not sure what is there after death, but as they say you are with MARY- ENJOY EACH OTHER.

A sad farewell to a wonderful man, and one of my dad's close buddies at the Sheraton New York. The two of you were quite a pair, with your chess games and your Christmas parties at Rosie O'Grady's. Best wishes and deepest sympathy from all the Foleys. Paddy, you were one of the great ones. God bless you.

Too many memories of Mr. Grennan to put here, but some of my favorites are Irish dances and the many, many basketball games he cheered us on. Rest in peace, Mr. Grennan.
