Lakeview School 5th Grade 83-84. Mrs. Swanson taught us how to be well-disciplined, keep things in good order, and strive for excellence. Her room was always immaculate, I know, because I was one of a select few who was allowed to clean the blackboards because I could do it streak-free! Outside the classroom I got to know a most sweet lady who genuinely cared for those around her. God bless you, Mrs. Swanson, and prayers and God's comfort to Mr. and Dr. Swanson as you deal with your loss. Wwehave all lost a great lady.

I was a 5th grader at Lakeview School in 75-76 in Mrs. McMahon's (Miss Dalman's) class. Mrs. Swanson helped the students in my class put together a little surprise party when our teacher got married that year. I always remembered the sheer joy on her face that she helped the kids "pull a fast one" on her colleague and friend. May she rest in peace.

What an influence this woman, educator, and mentor had on my life! Her stern, but loving way helped me develop a belief and expectation of myself that has nevered wavered. You were truly one of a kind Mrs. Swanson! You definitely made a difference in my life!

Dear Mrs. Swanson, such a wonderful lady and teacher. My children had her and loved being in her class. They also loved stopping at her house on Halloween to "trick or treat" and we would always be there for a while as she had wonderful conversations with the children. Over the years when I would see her she would always ask how the children were, what they were doing, etc. As of the many children she had, she always remembered their names. She was so proud of her daughter and always spoke of her with such pride, love, and joy. My thoughts and prayers to Mr. Swanson and Dr. Swanson.

I am so sad to hear of Mrs. Swanson's passing. My 6 yr old daughter asked me just the other day who my favorite teached was and I said, Mrs. Swanson, 5th grade, Lakeview School. I had her in 75-76 school year, and even 35yrs later I think of her. She touched my life forever. God bless her family and may she rest in peace.
