Dixon, 88, passed away at Saint Clare’s Hospital at Denville, NJ on Tuesday March 16, 2010. Mr. Dixon was born and raised in Queens, NY, and has been a resident of Denville since 1962. He was a graduate of St. Johns University receiving his degree in Business. He was a Sales Manager at Thomas Borthwick & Sons LTD, NYNY and after 23 years service retired in 1986. Mr. Dixon was a Past President and Trustee to Indian Lake Community Club, was a Past President of Hub Lakes League, was a member of Denville Senior Citizens Club, and the Denville Men’s Shoot the Breeze Club, was a Usher at St. Mary’s Church, was the Director of Franciscan Follies, was a Flight Champion and member of Peace Pipe Country Club, and a member of the Denville Friends of the Library. His wife Viola predeceased him in 2007. Bob is survived by his Son, Robert Dixon and his wife Linda of Charlotte, NC, his daughter Eileen King and her husband Robert of Denville, and his grandchildren Robert King and his wife Elizabeth, Kristin King, Sarah Dixon and Ryan Dixon, and his sister Carole Bree of PA. Bob’s funeral will be conducted from Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave., Denville, NJ www.normandean.com, (please light a candle in memory of Bob on web site), on Saturday March 20th at 9am for a 10am Mass of Christian Burial service at St. Mary’s Church, Denville, NJ, interment committal services at Denville Cemetery.
