Obituary of Edward John Saniewski

Edward John Saniewski, 81, died on Tuesday Dec. 29, 2009 at Morristown Memorial Hospital.
Ed was born and raised in Jersey City, and moved to Denville fifty years ago.
He earned an Assoc Degree at NJ Teachers College in Jersey City. He went on to St. Johns University School of Pharmacy where he was called into active duty and served in the US Air Force during the Korean War. After returning, he finished his to receive a Bachelors Degree and Pharmacy license in 1954.
Ed owned and operated Meuser's Pharmacy in Dover from 1958 until 1968. In 1967 he opened and ran the Randolph Pharmacy until 1981. He also opened and ran "The Little Brown Jug" Restaurant where he proudly worked alongside his family until 1989. After retiring, he volunteered as a pharmacist for both the Lyons VA Hospital NJ and St. Clare's Hospital in Denville, NJ.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years Patricia A. (Sullivan), as well as his children and their spouses, Edward and Tina Saniewski of Denville, Tom and Linda Saniewski of Greer, SC, Kathleen and Frank Mygas of Randolph, Margaret and Mark Rooney of Denville, and T.C. and Rick Meagher of Blairstown, and his eleven grandchildren Jessica, Suzanne, Stephanie, Patricia, Bryan, Lisa, Derek, Tommy, Scott, Ruthanne, and Garrett.
Funeral arrangements will be handled by Norman Dean Home for Services located at 16 Righter Ave. Denville, NJ www.normandean.com Viewing services will be held on Fri. Jan. 1, 2010 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A gathering will begin Sat. Jan. 2, 2010 at 9:00 AM at Norman Dean followed by a 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary's R.C. Church in Denville, NJ.
