Obituary of Roy Harold Wise

Roy Wise, age 77, of Succasunna, formerly of Mt. Arlington and Denville, passed away Thursday, November 5, 2009 at St. Clare's Hospital, Denville. Born in The Bronx in 1932, he was the son of the late Edward and Lillian (Brodmerkle) Wise. Roy served his country in the US Army during the Korean War, and was a member of Van Cortlandt Masonic Lodge #1034. He retired from Nynex in 1991 after 37 years of employment.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Ihde Wise, in 2005. He is survived by his daughters, Sherry Guzman and husband Alfred Jr., of Oak Ridge, NJ, Tammy Wise of New York, NY; step-daughter Barbara Ricigliano of Mt. Arlington, NJ; grandsons, Alfred Guzman III and wife Charlene; and Joshua Guzman; great-granddaughter, Gabrielle Grace Guzma; sister, Audrey Schilling; and ex-wife and dear friend, Miriam Sherman.
Funeral services will be held Monday, November 9, at 11:00 am at Norman Dean Home for Services, 16 Righter Avenue, Denville. Private cremation will follow.
