Uncle Anthony was a GREAT man! He would love to tease us all and we so looked forward to it. We would say that we were going to see Uncle Anthony and they would always ask..."The tickle monster?" He is deeply loved and missed.

We will always remember Mr. Polichemi as the kind, caring man who took care of us when we were young and stupid and lived next door and how his compassion extended to all things and how much he loved his family above all else. We will miss him.

I am so sorry to hear of Tony's loss. He was such a wonderful man and one of the most helpful individuals I'd ever met. My parents had a lot of work done by Tony and my most recent "fix" was my basement stairs. He fixed them for me 2 yrs ago. He was a very special man and will be sorely missed.

To our dear friend Tony:
When I think of you, your wonderful smile comes to mind. My sweetest memory of you is when many years ago you plucked a basil leaf from my garden plant and tucked it behind your ear, just so you could smell it's fragrance all day. Everywhere in our home are places where your hands left their memories as you worked to repair or improve. We came to know you as a gentle sweet man who loved and cherished his family. How proud you were of Lee's volunteer work and all that she gave to others and boy what a cook! Only her packed lunches from home would do. Your family was your life. I so enjoyed our chats and watching the master at his craft. Dan and I came to know and sincerely care about you. Your generous nature extended past the "job's" finish. If we needed advice or a tool, you were our man. Your love of gardening meant that everyone got a few potted erbs every summer. I will miss you this year unloading the pots out of the back of your black ford truck. I will miss your hug and laughter. We will miss you dear friend. Our condolences to Lee and your entire family. We share your deep sadness. The world has lost someone very special. We all have.
Sincerely,
Melanie and Dan Fenton

Dear Brother:
Your parting has left a void for many of us. The consolation I have is that now you are free as you follow the path God laid out for you. You heard him call so you took his hand and left all behind. I will miss your voice as you tell me "sanque del mio sanque" (blood of my blood). I will miss your embrace, your laughter, and the good times we shared, but for now, rest my dear brother as I know my present sorrow will turn to joy when we meet again in the resurrection; nothing can compare to the glory that awaits us.
Love your brother Joe

Nine years ago is not long to have known Anthony, but you didn't need a long time to get to know this kindhearted, warm, giving man. He had a way of making you feel at ease and made me feel completely welcome when meeting their large close-knit family. We're lighting memory candles for him, but he himself was a light who will be greatly missed. My love and prayers go out to you Lee, Janet, Angela, Anthony Jr., and all the family. God bless you.

I know I am far from alone when I say that Anthony's death has left a void in my life. He was and remains my altar ego. With the exception of his immediate family I feel that I knew him better than most. My admiration for him developed and grew over the years as we were growing up. He was always willing to reach out and help others not only with the skills of his profession (which were considerable), but also with his humanitarian spirit. He was keenly sensitive to one who was in emotional pain or one who simple put was in the doldrums. Many of these candles presented here attest to this aspect of his nature. His value system was not one that he embraced because it was the tenets of any group. Rather, his value system developed over many years of reflective thought. As opposed to being recommended or perhaps imposed from outside of himself, his value system came from within. When the occasion required it his lighted hearted and joking nature attracted children to him. They loved him. And he them. On the other hand, when the occasion required it, he was very serious, analytical, and constructively critical. During discussions it was evident that he was not uttering superficialities. It was obvious that one was dealing with a thinker. My many hours of face-to-face as well as lengthy phone conversations enable me to attest to this facet of his personality. Much more of what I am able to say would be to lengthy to present in this format. Suffice it to say: "Nee, I love you and will always cherish the many hours we shared. Your brother, Hugo

My Dear Cousin Leona,
My heart is so saddened for you and your family. How many wonderful times we had with you and Anthony in North Plainfield & So. Cal. Always loved Anthony's humor. He was a sweetheart. We know where he is now and we will join him someday. Just a short journey and no more pain. What a blessed comfort that is.

Uncle Anthony was an incredible influence in my life. When I had lost hope and was suffering in my addictions, He came to visit me in my worst moments to bring me some hope in my darkened world. His role in my life is part of the reason I live today and have been saved by God out of my broken past and called to the ministry. I look forward to meeting him in heaven and thanking him for loving me when I could not love anyone. Aunt Lee and the family is our prayers. Love, Nicholas Hanges
