Richard A. Snellings, 61, passed away at home on December 26, 2008.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, Richard resided in Massapequa, NY for the past 20 years. Richard attended Manhattan College where he received a B.S. in Mathematics. After graduating in 1969, he went to work for MetLife where he eventually became an Assistant Vice-President of Ethics and Compliance. After retiring from MetLife in 2007, he continued to work there as a consultant. In his free time, Richard enjoyed taking cruises around the world with his wife Denise and friends.
Richard is predeceased by his wife, Denise Day. He is survived by his three sons; Robert Scott Snellings and his wife Tara of Rockaway Township, Richard Barton Snellings and his wife Jackie of West Orange and Michael Randolph Snellings of Parsippany, grandchildren; Connor, Trevor and Caitlin, brothers; Kenneth and his wife Barbara Snellings, Steven and his wife Jacoba Snellings, both of Alpharetta, GA, and Ronald and his wife Joan Snellings of Chesapeake, VA, nieces; Elizabeth and Jessica, nephews; Robert, John and Michael,
A celebration of Richard's life will be held at Norman Dean Home for Services on Wednesday, December 31 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association 1 Union St., Suite 301 Robbinsville, NJ 08691.
