My thoughts are with you all. My memories of Mrs. Carroll date back to the 1950's and swimming lessons at the lake.I went from taking lessons to giving them, all under this lovely lady's direction.
My most recent memory dates to 2000, after living away for 20 years I was walking past her home on West Shore with my brother, Roy, Dot was working in her garden, stopped what she was doing to speak to Roy,who was recovering from a stoke and in a wheelchair, with one look at me she hugged me and said, "Yvonne, it's been so long but I have never forgotten you, you haven't changed." Neither had she.
Now Dot is no longer with us but believe me she will never be forgotten either.
May God bless her with perpetual light and eteranl rest.
You had a wonderful mother

Norman and Red Bud as well as her beautiful yard, these are the first things I think of when I think of Dot. I only knew her for 15 years which is a short time in her long life. She was a great bridge player even though we never did get a chance to bid a Jocoby transfer. I will miss her but she is in a better place with all of her loved ones, including Norman and Redbud.

Our thoughts are with the family. Growing up at Indian Lake in the 60's meant learning to swim with Mrs. Carroll and being a part of the Aquatic Club. I have great memories of those times and all the fun.

Mom Carroll welcomed me into her family with open arms. I have no doubts that her beloved, Bill and my beloved Pat were there to welcome her with open arms into God's kingdom. I loved her so and will miss her interesting conversations and observations on life. I truly received many blessing from her and from my God given family of my sons Sean, Bill, Matt and the entire Carroll family.
I will miss you Dottie.
Love, Doreen

As the mother of three of Mom Carroll's grandchildren, Sean Patrick, William Jason and Matthew Aaron I can truthfully say that I was blessed to have Mom Carroll in my life. Her company was always enjoyed as she was a great conversationalist. Her garden at the lake house was always brilliant with color. She loved life to the fullest. I remember many birthdays, holidays and special occasions spent in her company. Wonderful memories of Mom Carroll will be with me and my family forever. God Bless all the family and friends of a blessed woman. May peace be with you.

My sympathy to Mrs. Carrolls family. It was Mrs. Carroll that finally helped me tackle the butterfly swim stroke. I could not get it in my swim class. She invited me over and I jumped in the lake behind her house and she helped me figure it out. I have never forgotten that and the many kindnesses she showed so many of us kids learning to swim. With much gratitude for her service to the community.
Fondly,
Judy Brangwin Baker
