Obituary of Doris "Mom Mom" L. Gorlich

Doris L. Gorlich (Nee Anderson), 75, of Denville, peacefully passed away on Saturday, September 6, 2008. Doris was born in West New York, NJ the daughter of the late Carl H. and Elna L. (Nee Williamson) Anderson. As a child she moved to Teaneck, NJ where she was raised, attended school, married and settled to have her children. Mrs. Gorlich also lived in Bergenfield, NJ before moving to Denville. She is survived by her former husband, Weldon L. Gorlich, her children, Audrey and her husband Walter Zemlanicky, Glenn Gorlich and his wife Mary, Wayne Gorlich and his wife Janis, Bernadette and her husband Michael Mehnert, and Gaynor and her husband Walter Groome, her grandchildren, Glenn Gorlich Jr., Michael Mehnert Jr., Catherine Gorlich, William Mehnert, Alycia Zemlanicky, Daniel Mehnert, Brittany Groome, Emilio Gorlich. "Mom Mom" is also survived by her great grandchildren Elayna and Michael Mehnert. Her extended family includes her Step-Grandsons, Walter and Brian Zemlanicky and Step-Great-Grandsons, Jack, George, and Colin Zemlanicky. Her brothers, Robert H. Anderson of Arizona and Carl L. Anderson of South Carolina also survived her. Doris enjoyed the simple things of life, she loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and friends, playing with puzzle books, bingo, jigsaw puzzles, clipping and sharing coupons. She attended class at the YMCA where spent many a happy Friday "exercising". She looked forward to the monthly Denville Senior Socials where she would exchange and donate items to the prize table. Doris participated and enjoyed many of the Denville Sunrise Rotary's Fellowships and Fund Raisers, where everyone knew her as "Mom". Doris's funeral services will be conducted at Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave., Denville, NJ www.normandean.com, (please light a candle in memory of Doris on web site), on Wednesday Sept. 10th at 11:00am. Relatives and friends will be received on Tuesday Sept. 9th from 4:00pm to 8:00PM.
