My deepest sympathy to the Hayes family. The friendly and warm hospitality that we received from Harry and Lorna at their home on Casterline a few years back during a brief visit when passing through town on a road trip is a typical example of the Hayes trademark of kindness and caring that so many others have also been fortunate to encounter. I hope in time that the great memories you have of such a wonderful matriarch will help ease your recent loss.

Dear Harry, Dick and Jim, My heart goes out to you guys in this very sad time. Lorna was a special lady who will be missed by all who knew her. Your family has meant alot to me through the years and Lorna was a big part of the great times spent with the Hayes family. Lorna was always upbeat and you could not walk away after spending time with her without feeling better about yourself and happy you spent time with her. She was truly a bright spot in my life and an inspiration as you guys are. Love to you all. Bob

Harry Dick and Jim,
It is never easy to find the right words to say at a time like this! I have many many fond memories of evenings and nights watching games or sitting by the pool. I was always welcome even when I dropped by without an invite! I remember my first experiance at the Hayes house it was June of 1972 and it was a party given in my honor as I moved from St Mary's to Valleyview for 7th grade. Also recall a several Christmas eve's in the livingroom around the Christmas tree. I can say this with no hesitation I always felt like a part of the family and Love you all like family as well. There was a time when I actually thought I might become part of the family too! I know my sadness can not compare to yours but we do have our memories to hold onto. I will cherish all of mine driving to Boston, football weekends,Army-Navy games. But most of all the smiles hugs and kind words I always got from Lorna at golf outings or football games over the last 36 years. Mom was loved by many becuase she loved so selflessly! I know that she will be looking down from Heaven and smiling that beautiful smile on you all forever! And I am sure that she is happy to be once again sharing time with our beloved Diane too. Will be praying for you all but with the knowledge that one day Di and Lorna will be waiting to greet us all when our time comes to be together again. Forever your friend Ken

Mr. Hayes and family,
I know what it is like to lose your loved one, the light of your family. But know she is in a better place, Heaven, and no longer suffering. Plus my Mom now has her dear friend Lorna in Heaven beside her! Your family has always been so kind to me and my family. You helped my Dad after my Mom died and have been his friend, our friend for decades. Please know we are all here for you, always. Our hearts, thoughts and prayers are with you. We wish we could be with you this weekend. Love to all. xoxo

Mrs. Hayes always had so much class and elegance. She always smiled and offered kind words. She and Mr. Hayes were so kind to me after my dad passed away. They would often approach me after mass to check up on me. I recall when Mr. Hayes came into Pelican Ski shop and bought a lovely outfit for her. It was gorgeous on her and a great surprise. Such a lovely woman. God bless you and your family during this time. Mr. Hayes and Jimmy you are all in my thoughts and prayers.
