I will miss Dave greatly.
He was such a kind and gentle person; I will never forget how he made me feel very welcome immediately when I first joined Wakefern and went out of his way to help me in all kinds of ways to settle in.
In the short time I knew Dave, he became a good friend, and I still can't believe he's now gone forever... but surely, he's in a better place and memories of him will always bring a smile to me and all those who knew him.

I worked with Dave for 9 years. He was my teammate, a very patient, kind, respectful, and humble person.
His jokes always made me laugh. These punch lines I will always remember from him. “We’ll bring you to the dark side, Noe” when referring to IBM Mainframe programming because I’m not the best at it. And when something goes wrong, whatever it is, (work or not) he always said this line to me. ”I don’t know, Noe, It’s all your fault.” Rest in peace Dave. My prayers are with him and his family.
God bless,
Noe Revilla

Dave, whom I worked with for years was one of the nicest and calmest people I ever met. When problems occurred on computer issues, Dave was there quick to assist and help solve. He always worked professionally with a smile, even under stressful times. Rest in peace my friend, God Bless.

My name is Bob Gaydos. I worked at Wakefern for 23 years. Dave and I would work on W2's each of those 23 years. I looked forward to working with him all through the year but especially at year end. He had a great
disposition and made sure we did what was needed to complete the job properly. I was very saddened when hearing of his passing as I was just speaking with him about 3 weeks ago. He will be missed by many. My prayers are with him and all of you as you proceed through the grieving process.
Sincerely,
Bob

Dave loved his family and was always talking about how he would go over to one of his sister's houses and help out landscaping or building decks. He enjoyed the work and loved his sisters dearly, as well as his brother and brother-in-laws.
The same way that the family wrote about Dave in his obituary is very similar to how he was as a co worker and friend. He was quiet, kind, self effacing, helpful, and would give you the shirt off his back. He helped many co workers including myself with his in depth knowledge of the IBM Mainframe, especially the new hires. He will be greatly missed by all.
I had to laugh when it was mentioned that he owned reptiles because it brought back a memory of when he stored frozen crickets in our cafeteria freezer to use as food for his corn snake. I can still hear the scream from our executive secretary when she opened the freezer!!!
I worked with Dave for over 36 years, with many fond memories.
God Bless Dave and his family!
