So sorry to hear about the passing of my dear Aunt Sib. Many great summers spent at Seaside Park and so many great memories over the last several decades on Daniel Street and Andrew’s house too. I’m so glad I got to visit in June and spend a few hours with her. My deepest condolences to Jennifer, Melissa, Michelle and Andrew for the loss of their mother and of course to Uncle Harry for the loss of his wife. Aunt Sib will be missed very much….Mike Reynolds

Noni,
I can't believe that you're actually gone. Everyday I wish we could go back a few years and just spend one more day together. I feel truly and incredibly blessed for the relationship we had. You always showered me with love and made sure that I always had a smile on my face. I'm always going to think about and cherish all of the wonderful times we spent together. Going to Seaside Park, exploring new stores, and eating at restaurants were just some of my favorite things to do with you. It's crazy to me that I will never get to walk on the beach with you again, have our lunch/dinner dates together, or that you won't be there watching me get my graduate degree, but I know that your spirit will always be there and help guide me through everything. I promise I will never let anyone forget who Silvia Dachisen was. You were a great mother, fantastic grandmother, beautiful soul, and above anything else, my best friend. Alzheimer's may have stripped away your memory and personality, but we will never let Alzheimer's dim the light of your legacy. I will always make sure to discuss how wonderful Silvia Dachisen was as a person and I know everyone else in our family will make sure to do the same. Fly high noni, and make sure to say hi to Gigi Pop, Gigi Mom, Aunt Rose, and all our other beloved family members who have passed on. Things will truly never be the same without you. I love you so so so much and will never stop missing you Noni.

Silvia, Sib, Noni.
My mother-in-law, Silvia Dachisen would answer to all three of those names. Those three different names all represented the same person, but in a way also represented someone different with each name.
"Silvia" was the first name I associated with her when I met her years before I started dating her youngest daughter. Way back when she was just Andrew's mom.
"Sib was the second most common name I used with her, and I think it represented her essence to me. A fun filled caring person, loving mother, friend, neighbor, comedy gold mine, summer vacation partner, etc, really too many to list.
"Noni" represented her as a grandmother which is probably the greatest role she ever played.
We lost Sib yesterday to Alzheimer’s. While it is never easy to lose someone you love I’m very much at peace with it. Sib was a VERY SPECIAL person to so many people. I was blessed to know her and have her be my friend and my mother-in-law. But Alzheimer’s took away that very special person. So I’m at peace with her leaving us and happy for her. Happy that she is in a better place, surrounded by loved ones who have been waiting to see her again. Happy that she can be herself again. And I’m especially happy that she will watch over us now in a way that only she could. Deacon Harry and his wife, Silvia were members of our St. Therese Ministry held at the St. Therese Shrine in Boonton. Deacon Harry lead many decades of the Rosary for us. Silvia was a real treasure and it is a great loss for everyone especially her family. May she rest in peace and be in the palm of our Lords Hand. We know when she met Jesus he said "Well Done Good and Faithful Servant."

Sib, you were always, as Mary said too, our "other sister". When Mommy made us special outfits as kids, you always got one too!
There are so many wonderful memories of times together as kids and into our "golden years". Trips to the shore and dinners and holiday times at each other's houses. And all are so very special. You were an amazing woman, so full of love and caring. Since I have moved away, I have treasured even more our phone calls where we talked for hours and solved all the problems of the world. They helped me to stay close.
I know that you have a special place in heaven and that God is holding you close. I will miss you terribly.
