Obituary of Vincent E. Cortese

Vincent E. Cortese passed away on Thursday March 13, 2008 at the Preston Health Center in Hilton Head Island SC he was 93.
Born in Scranton PA in 1915 he was educated in the Scranton School System and graduated from Scranton University 1937.
In 1941 he moved to Dover NJ where he was employed at Picatinny Arsenal as a chemist and except for three years of military service, he worked continuously until his retirement in 1980.
He served in the US Army during WWII from November 1942 to August 1945 in the Chemical Warfare Division, Edgewood Arsenal Maryland and Army Special Projects University of Illinois.
Vincent was a member Emeritus of the American Chemical Society and was also on enlisted reserves at Picatinny Arsenal.
His wife Carol King predeceased him in 1997. Surviving is his sister Marion Borzellino of Totowa, and companion Maxine League of Hilton Head, SC and her sons, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
