John F. Callan passed away on Monday November 18, 2002. He was 50 years old. Born in Jersey City, he had lived in Union City before moving to the White Meadow section of Rockaway Township 11+ years ago. John had been the Building Inspector for the City of Union City for 25 years before retiring a few years ago. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Arlene F. (Nee Jones). Two daughters Jaclyn & Lisa. Sisters Linda Cerulli & Gail Franco. Four nieces, one great niece & one great nephew. Step son of Albert Cerulli, Son in-law of Bertha & Clifford Jones. Brother in-law of Kathleen, Catherine & Dr. Clifford Jones. Pre-deceased are his parents James Callan & Harriet Cerulli. Funeral services will start at the funeral home on Friday at 10:00AM for a Liturgy of Christian Burial at St. Cecilias Church in Rockaway at 11:00AM. Interment will be at St. Cecilias Cemetery in Rockaway. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9PM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to: American Kidney Fund 6110 Executive Blvd. Suite 1010 Rockville, MD 20852.
