Irene DiNubila (nee Kopp) passed away peacefully in her home in Rockaway, NJ at the age of 87 after a lengthy illness on March 4, 2008.
Born in Corona, NY on March 27, 1920, Irene lived in Whitestone, NY for 50 years, where she raised her family while working for many years in Whitestone Savings & Loan Association. She moved to the Fox Hills Adult Community in Rockaway, NJ in 2003 following the death of her husband.
Predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Donato, Irene is survived by 3 children: Diane of Chandler AZ, Joseph of Whitestone, NY, and Daniel of Denville, NJ. Irene also leaves to mourn the spouses of her children, 5 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and all of her Fox Hills Adams Building family.
Her family will receive friends and relatives at Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave Denville, NJ www.normandean.com on Thursday March 6, from 2-4 & 7-9PM. They will also have visiting at the Martin A. Gleason Funeral Home in Whitestone, NY on Friday March 7, from 2-4 & 7-9PM. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Trinity R.C. Church in Whitestone, NY on Saturday March 8, at 10:30AM. Interment will follow at Mt. St. Marys Cemetery in Flushing, NY.
