Raymond K. Miller was called home to our heavenly father on Saturday Oct. 5, 2002. Mr. Miller died at St. Clares Hospital Denville, NJ. He was 54 years old. Mr. Miller was born in Dover, NJ and lived in Oak Ridge, NJ.
Mr. Miller was a US Navy Vietnam Veteran and a retired 1991 US Navy Reservist after 23 years duty. Mr. Miller was a life member of American Legion Post 27 of Dover, NJ. He served various offices and was both a past commander of Post 27 and past commander of the Morris County American Legion. He also served a S Chef DeGare of the 40/8 Voiture 228 Morris County and Grande Chef DeGare of New Jersey, Commander of Morris County Sons of American Legion and State Commander of the S.A.L.
Mr. Miller was employed as an Engineer for 32 years with Verizon (Bell Atlantic) Cedar Knolls, NJ.
Mr. Miller is survived by his daughter Denise and grandson Caleb of Palm Harbor, Fl, his mother Beatrice of Oak Ridge, NJ and sister, Barbara Lucas of Coral Springs, Fl. and numerous nieces and nephews and friends.
Funeral from the Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave., Denville, NJ on Tuesday at 8:00PM, friends will be received Tuesday 2-4 and 7-8PM. Memorial donations to American Legion State Child Welfare Foundation.
