Victor J. Nexon 84, died on Sunday September 8, 2002 at St. Clares Hospital in Denville, NJ
He was born in Niles,Ohio and grew up in McDonald,Ohio, later moving to East Orange, NJ. In 1950, he moved to Mt. Lakes, NJ, and in 1962, he moved to Boonton Township, NJ where he has lived until time of his death.
Victor graduated from the Case Institute of Technology of Cleveland, Ohio with a Electrical Engineering Degree in 1940.
He was a Captain in the U.S. Army Aircorp during WWII, and served in England in radar development.
He has been the President of Multicomm Sciences, Inc. of Denville, NJ from 1952 until the time of his death.
He was a member of St. Johns Episcopal Church in Boonton, NJ. He was also a member of the Boonton Elks Lodge # 1405 and was a trustee. He was a member and Trustee of the Lakeland Y. M. C. A. in Mt. Lakes, NJ.
He has been a member of the Denville Rotary Club for over 22 years, and had served in all capacities which lead him to the Presidency in 1999 2000. He is also a Paul Harris Fellow, and his main focus in the club has been on the clubs vocational avenue of service.
His First Wife Donna Lee Nexon died on January 22, 1977.
He is survived By: Wife: Joan L. to whom he has been married for 22 years.
His son: Victor Nexon Jr. of Denville, NJ. His daughter: Sherly L. Crimmins of Boonton Twp., NJ.
Five grandchildren: Timothy Nexon, Deborah K. Nexon, Laura L. Crimmins, Jason M. Crimmins and Vanessa L. Crimmins.
Three great grandchildren: Mitchell B., Chad B., and Payton B. Nexon
Two Stepsons: Keith R. LeBaron of San Jose, Calf. and Craig LeBaron of Fremont, Calf. and a Stepdaughter Janyce L. LeBaron also of Fremont, Calf.
Five Step Grandchildren, and One Step Great grandson.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday September 14, 2002 at 10:00 AM at the funeral home. Friends may visit with the Family on Thursday Evening from 7-9 PM, and on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Donations are being accepted to the Denville Rotary Club P.O. Box #35, Denville, New Jersey 07834 in his name.
