James Robert Morris died on Saturday August 24 at Matheny School and Hospital in Peapack, NJ. He was 23 years old. Mr. Morris was born in Boonton, NJ and lived in Flanders, NJ. Mr. Morris was a member of the Matheny Bell Choir and enjoyed art and music--especially the Oldie Goldie music. He was always happy and smiling and enjoyed being with his family. He won a Special Olympic Gold Medal for bowling. Mr. Morris is survived by his parents Robert J. and Donna J. (Nee Laansma) Morris of Flanders. His sister Shannon Morris of Flanders. His Maternal grandmother Eleanor Laansma of Parsippany and his Paternal grandfather Thomas W. Morris of Parsippany. Also survived by Great aunts and great uncles and aunts and uncles and many cousins. Mr. Morris' family will gather together at Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave., Denville, NJ on Tuesday at 9:30AM before proceeding to St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church Flanders, NJ for a 11:00AM Liturgy of Christian Burial Service. Committal interment service will be held at Pleasant Hill Cemetery Chester, NJ. Memorial donations to Matheny School and Hospital P.O.Box 339, Peapack, NJ 07977 would be appreciated.
