Obituary of Odd Abrahamsen

Odd Abrahamsen, died peacefully on Wednesday February 20, 2008 surrounded by his family, at the Compassionate Care Hospice in Dover, He was 82.
Born on November 16, 1925 in the town of Lista Norway, he immigrated to the US in 1946 settling in Bayridge Brooklyn, where he married his wife Solveig on December 17, 1949. In 1965 Odd and family moved to Lake Telemark in Rockaway Township and has resided there ever since.
He worked as master carpenter for over 50yrs and was a foreman for the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America in Rockland County NY. Odd was known far and wide for his excellent craftsmanship and will not be forgotten.
Surviving is his wife of fifty-eight years Solveig, four sons Alf, Roy, Carl and Alex. Grandchildren Tricia, Lauren, Christopher, Kevin, Melissa, Brynn and Carl Jr. His great-grandchildren Jacob, Alexis, Pattiann and Taliah. Also surviving is his sister Gerd Molten of Bayridge Brooklyn.
A funeral service will be held on Monday February 25 at 10:00AM at the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 508 Greenpond Road Rockaway Twp. Visitation will be held on Sunday February 24, from 1-5PM at the Norman Dean Home For Services 16 Righter Avenue Denville NJ 07834.
