Anthony Amato Freda Sr. passed away August 7, 2002, in Napoli, Italy, he was 61 years old.
Born in Prata, P.U. Italy, he moved to the United States, where he was a Lieutenant of the the Orange, New Jersey Police Department for 25 years before retiring in 1992. In 1995 he moved back to Italy to become a winemaker.
His survivors include his wife of many years, Carmela (Dela Sala), of Prata, Italy, His Children; Sabrina Standridge of Netcong, NJ, and Anthony Freda Jr. of Denville, NJ. Three grandchildren; Charles Standridge III, Loren, and Catherine Freda. Two brothers; Carmine Freda, of Parsippany, NJ, and Giovanni Freda, of Prata, Italy. He is also survived by many loving nieces & nephews.
A Liturgy of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday August 17, at 10:00AM, at St. Marys R.C. Church in Denville, NJ. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9PM.
