Robert K. Petry of Denville, NJ died on Monday at his home at Franciscan Oaks. He was 90 years old.
Mr. Petry was born in Trenton, NJ and had lived in Mountain Lakes and Parsippany. In 1994, he moved to Denville, NJ.
Mr. Petry graduated in 1933 from Rutgers University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Chemistry. He was a member of the Rutgers Old Guard. Mr. Petry was employeed at Congoleum Co in Kearny, NJ for 44 years. He retired in 1977 as the Manager of Research and Development. Mr. Petry was an avid golfer and a Tournament Bridge player.
Mr. Petry was the husband of the late Lucy (nee Green) Petry. He is the father of Robert K. Petry Jr. of Ft. Pierce, FL, William F. Petry of Bedford, MA, Linda Kolakowski of Plantation, FL, and Susan Handy of Apopka, FL. Grandfather of two grandsons Stephen and Matthew Kolakowski. A brother of Richard A Petry of Yardley, PA and Helen P. Skelton of Newtown, PA.
A graveside service on Wednesday July 24 at 11AM at Riverview Cemetery Trenton, NJ. Funeral arrangements are being handled thru Norman Dean Home for Services.
