Linda A. Bravo, nee Dachisen, 55, died on Tuesday February 17, 2003 at her home in Fairfax County, Virginia. Linda was born in Dover, NJ and grew up in Denville. She moved to New York City after graduation and lived there until moving to Fairfax, Virginia in 1981. She graduated from Morris Hills High School in Rockaway in 1965. She went to Lenox Hill Hospital School of Nursing in New York City in 1968 as a Registered Nurse. Following graduation, she worked as a Pediatric Nurse and had been the Evening Charge Nurse at Lenox Hill Hospital until moving to Fairfax County, Virginia. She then went to work as a Registered Nurse in the Radiation Oncology Department for the Inova Fairfax Hospital in Fairfax, Virginia. She is survived by her Husband Charlie E. Bravo, whom she was married to for 22 years. Two Sons, Damien S. Cabrera and Matthew E. Bravo both of Fairfax. Her Parents Peter and Doris Dachisen of Denville, NJ. Three brothers Harry Dachisen of Rockaway, NJ, Peter Dachisen of Phillipsburg, NJ, and Christopher Dachisen of Warren, NJ. Two Sisters Mary Beth Dean of Branchville, NJ, and Helen McDade of Pennington, NJ. In 1991, she was a Partner in activities at Stanford University in Palo Alto, Calf. while her husband was a Fellow in the Stanford "Sloan Program." She and Charlie loved to play Golf as well as travel and they combined both on many trips. She especially loved to travel in Italy, and they just returned from a second trip in six months two weeks ago. She is a member of the Tantallon Country Club in Ft. Washington, Md., previously she had been a member of the Cedar Crest Country Club in Centerville, Va. She was a volunteer for the American Cancer Society where she helped. run golf tournaments to raise money for Breast Cancer Research. A Liturgy of Christian Burial Service was held on Friday February 21, 2003 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady Queen of Peace R. C. Church in Arlington, Va. Memorial services will be held on Saturday April 26, 2003 at 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Friends may visit with the family on Saturday from 1:00 PM until time of services. Donations are being accepted to the Linda A Bravo Oncology Care Fund of the Inova Health System Foundation 8110 Gatehouse Rd. Falls Church, Va. 22042.
