Obituary of Thomas H. Bullock

Thomas H. Bullock, Jr. Butch embattled with the battle of his life died of lung cancer January 27th, 2008 though he quit smoking in 2001. Thomas was born in the All Souls hospital in Morristown on 3-12-59. He grew up most of his life in Morris Township and White Meadow Lake, until finally settling in Jefferson Township in 1982. He was married to his High School Sweetheart, Regina Bullock (Smith), who he met while attending Morristown High School. Thomas was a self-employed carpenter with his son Jonathan. He was loved by many and had a very kind heart, often times he was referred to as a gentle giant, until someone crossed the line. He was called Dad by many besides his own children. Thomas was a great role model and could always make you laugh. Former classmates would say he was like an icon and a legend, someone who you could always depend on to be there for you. He protected his family at any cost and would always be there to lend a helping hand. Thomas was an amazing husband, father, son, uncle, brother, grandfather and friend. His family couldn't have asked for a better man. He will be greatly missed. He is survived by his wife Regina Bullock (Smith), he has 3 children Christina, 25, Jonathan, 21, Samantha, 18, a granddaughter Alexis 6, his mother Helen Zubick of Dover NJ, his sisters Shirley and Ray Chelinski of Newton, NJ, Cindy and Rich Banghart of Mt. Arlington, Bonny and Wayne Hadley of Kunkletown, PA, Diana Hutchinson of Henniker, NH, nephews Bob Bullock, Patrick Hadley, Robert Hadley, Nicholas Hadley, Alfred Hadley and Raymond Chelinsky. Nieces Rebecca Ellis and Amy Ellis. He was predeceased by his brother Christopher Zubick, who died in 2006 and his father Thomas Bullock, Sr., who died in 2007. Funeral services will be conducted from Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave., Denville, NJ www.normandean.com, (please light a candle in memory of Thomas on web site). Friends and family will gather at Norman Dean Funeral Home on Friday Feb 1st at 8:30am for a 10:00am service at Ledgewood Baptist Church, 233 Main Street, Ledgewood, NJ. Relatives and friends will be received on Thursday Jan. 31st from 2-4 and 7-9pm. In lieu of flowers donations to the American Cancer Society or St. Judes Childrens Hospital are being accepted.
