James Joseph Vrabel passed away at his residence in Riva, MD on January 26, 2008
He was seventy-two years old.
Born in Bayonne, he grew up in Denville and then lived in West Milford, NJ for 20 years, then he spent a few years in Buford, NC, and a few years in New England before moving to Riva, MD in 2001.
James served in the US Army in the late 1950s and was stationed in Germany.
He was self employed and worked as a freelance illustrator and a commercial artist for many years before retiring in 1985.
His wife Barbara H. (Kockerols) passed away in 1981.
His children Frank of Roslyn, NY, Bryan of Island Lakes, NJ, Kirsten Vail of Warwick, NY, and Christopher Vrabel of West Milford, NJ survive him. His Grandchildren Cindy, Pam, Krista, Tim, Sabina, Alexa, Melanie, and Collin also survive him. His siblings Frank Vrabel of Denville, NJ, Janice Garman of TN, Vivian Deeds of Rockaway, NJ and Maryellen Serafine of PA also survive him.
Funeral from Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Avenue Denville, NJ www.normandean.com on Thursday January 31, at 9AM for a Liturgy of Christian Burial at St. Marys Church in Denville at 10AM. Friends may visit on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9PM.
