Obituary of Robert A Kopet

Robert A. Kopet, age 75, of Rockaway, passed away Monday, December 10, 2012 at Morristown Memorial Hospital after a short illness.
He was born in Jersey City to the late Alfred V. and Mary Ann (Baldyga) Kopet. He served his country as a member of the United States Marine Corps. Robert married the former Anne Conroy in 1963, with whom he had three children. They moved to the White Meadow Lake section of Rockaway in 1971 where they have resided ever since.
Robert worked as a purchasing agent for Annin Flag Co for over 30 years. He was a member of APICS, a member of St. Cecilia’s Church, and an avid Giants fan. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, softball, and spending vacations at the Jersey Shore, as well as travelling all over the United States and Europe.
He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Anne; children, Christoper and his wife, Dawn of St. Johnsville NY, David and his wife, Patricia of Maricopa, AZ, and Allison Lombardo and her husband, John of Rockaway; grandchildren Amanda, Travis, Lindsey, and Justin Kopet, Trevor Williams, and Hunter and Jackson Lombardo. Also survived by his siblings, Richard Kopycienski and his wife Mary Ann, and Sandie Bocak and her husband John, and many nieces, nephews, and longtime friends.
Services will be held December 15, 2012, at 10 am at St. Cecilia’s Church, 70 Church St , Rockaway, NJ. Burial will follow in St. Cecilia’s Cemetery. Friends may visit at Norman Dean Home for Services, 16 Righter Ave, Denville, NJ from 2-4 and 7-9 on Friday December 14, 2012.
