Donald M. Strub, 83, died on Wednesday Jan.9, 2008 at Morristown Memorial Hospital. Don was born in Newark, but grew up in East Orange, later moving to Morristown and finally to Denville in 1961. He served as a pilot during WWII in the US Air Force. He was a building engineer for N. J. Bell Telephone for 41 years in the Morris and Essex region, retiring in May 1987. He is survived by his wife of 53 years Barbara Evans Strub. His children and their spouses, Carol and Keith DePugh of Parsippany, NJ, Robert and Georgette Strub of Choctaw, Ok. Also his grandchildren Dan, Greg, and Jessica DePugh of Parsippany, and Stephen, Brian, and Jason Strub of Choctaw, Ok. He is also survived by his brother Philip Strub of Basking Ridge, and his brother in-law Kenneth Evans of Denville. Funeral services will be held on Saturday Jan. 12, 2008 at 9:30 AM at the United Methodist Church on Simpson Ave. in Mt. Tabor, NJ.
