Richard N. Van De Velde, 81 died at his home in Rockaway Borough on Friday Jan. 4, 2008 with his family surrounding him. Mr. Van De Velde was born in East Rutherford and was a longtime resident of Kinnelon and the last 3 years in Rockaway Borough. He was self-employed Painter thru out the Passaic and Morris counties area. In his spare time he helped his wife and daughter at the Georgia Stained Glass Werks in Rockaway Borough. He was a member of the Corvair Club, and the Tri Boro First Aid Squad for 10 years of Butler, Kinnelon and Bloomingdale. His beloved wife of 61 years Georgia, his children, Richard of Sussex, Keith of Port St. Lucy, FL, and Bonnie Hook and her husband Richard of Rockaway Borough and sister Dorothy Westling of Utah survives him. The funeral will be conducted from Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave., Denville, NJ, www.normandean.com (please light a candle in memory of Richard on web site), on Tuesday at 9:30AM for an 11:00am service at the St. David Episcopal Church 91 Kinnelon Road, Kinnelon, NJ. Committal and interments services at Mount Evergreen Cemetery Kinnelon, NJ. Relatives and friends will be received on Monday Jan. 7th from 2-4 and 7-9PM. The family suggest in lieu of flowers donations to the Visiting Nurse Association of Northern NJ would be appreciated.
