John W. Meckert, 66, died on January 1, 2008 at his home with his family surrounding him.
John was born in Jersey City, and was a resident of Hopatcong since 1989. John was a member of Local #1 Plumbers Union, NYNY for over 30 years retiring 4 years ago. John enjoyed fishing and gardening.
His beloved wife Beryl, his daughters, Amanda and Lindsay Meckert, Kathleen Meckert-Brown, and Kimberlee Kracke, 4 grandchildren and one great grandson, several nieces and nephews and his sister Robin survive John.
Relatives and friends are invited to call at Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave., Denville, NJ www.normandean.com, (please light a candle in Johns memory on website), on Saturday Jan. 12th from 2-4 with services at 4;00pm. In lieu of flowers donations to Compassionate Care Hospice, 140 Littleton Road, Suite 100, Parsippany, NJ 07054 would be appreciated.
