Mary Eilizabeth Chappel, 89, of Denville, died Friday December 28, in the Franciscan Oaks Health Care Center, Denville, NJ.
Born in Concord, NH, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Kathryn (Markley) Nyhan.
She resided in New York City for over sixty years, moving to Denville in 2005. She was an Office Manager, employed by NYU Medical Center in the genetics department for many years.
Mary Elizabeth enjoyed all that New York City had to offer, she was a supporter of the Arts, volunteered at the New York Botanical Society, loved music especially fond of the Opera, an avid reader and nature lover, she was also a supporter of the Audubon Society.
She was the focal point of her family. Surviving is her son John and his wife Christine Ganitsch of Basking Ridge.
