Greig H. Andersen, 95, died on Saturday at Newton Memorial Hospital. Mr. Andersen was born in Brooklyn, NY, moved to Norway as an infant and in his teens moved back to Brooklyn, was a resident of Paramus and since 1987 lived in Newton. Mr. Andersen attended Brooklyn Poly Tech at nights and received his degree in Electrical Engineering while he was employed as an assembler making ships instruments for TS & JD Negus Co. in New York City and went onto being a manager before he became an engineer at Pfizer in Brooklyn and New York City for 25 years before retiring 30 years ago. He was a member of the Nor-Bu Lodge and Sons of Norway, was a past president of Norway Ski Club and a Radio Ham Operator. His wife Elsa predeceased him in 1999. His children; Barbara Lundquist of Newton, Greig D. Andersen and his wife Arena of Warwick, NY, his grandchildren; Jon and Brian Lundquist, and Richard and Kimberley Andersen, and his brother; Milton Andersen and his wife Florence of Whippany survive him. The funeral service will be conducted at Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave., Denville, NJ www.normandean.com (please light a candle in memory of Greig on web site), on Wednesday at 11:00am. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. In lieu of flowers donations to Nor-Bu Lodge Memorial Fund, P.O.Box 317, Hibernia, NJ 07842 would be appreciated.
