Obituary of Mary Lou Emblen-Elmehelmy

Mary Lou Emblen-Elmehelmy, 69 of Montclair, NJ formerly of Wheeling, W.Va., succumbed to Cancer on Monday July 30, 2007, in Denville, NJ.
She was born November 15, 1937 in Wheeling, the daughter of the late Frank and Margaret Sacher Singer.
Mary Lou was a high school graduate of the former St. Joseph Academy on Wheeling Island in Wheeling; and a graduate from the charter class at Wheeling College, now known as Wheeling Jesuit University in Wheeling. She also was a Catholic by faith.
She was a former journalist for the Wheeling Intelligencer; a former schoolteacher in New York City, NY; and formerly did the New Jersey Going Out Guide for the New York Times. She spent two years from 1963 to 1965 as a Peace Corp worker in Columbia, S.A.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Frank J. Emblen, III in 1989; a brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Juanita Singer; and a brother-in-law, Arthur Tracey.
Surviving are her husband, Ahmed Elmehelmy; two sons, Frank J. Emblen IV of Denville, NJ and Jefferson Y. Emblen and his wife, Jane, of Houston, Texas; a sister Peggy Singer Tracey of Martins Ferry, Ohio; a brother, William Singer and his wife, Joann; and several nieces and nephews.
She was buried alongside her husband in Greenwood Cemetery in Wheeling, W. Virginia.
Memorial Services will be held on Monday October 22, 2007 at 7:00 PM at the Holly Face Monastery 1697 Route 3 East Clifton, NJ 07013.
