Obituary of Elfriede V. Wildmoser

Elfriede Wildmoser passed away on October 14, 2007 at Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, PA. Elfriede was born in Guenzburg, Germany and came to the United States of America in 1958. In 1963 she married her childhood sweetheart, Martin Wildmoser, who migrated to the United States from Germany two weeks prior to their wedding. Elfriede worked for Staten Island Savings Bank as an auditor until she started a family. The young couple made their home in Staten Island, NY where they remained for 21 years. After leaving New York, she and her husband lived briefly in Butler, NJ before spending 11 years in Cincinnati, OH were she experienced one of her proudest moments in becoming an American citizen. After her husbands retirement, the couple made their home in East Stroudsburg, PA in order to be closer to their children and grandchildren. Often admired for her kind spirit and gentle ways, Elfriede was able to complete one final act of kindness as part of her death. Through the Gift of Life Program, she is an organ donor to three separate recipients. She is survived by her loving husband, Martin Wildmoser, her grateful daughters, Alexandra Wildmoser-Todd, and husband Scott of Denville, NJ Martina Wildmoser-Serad and husband Todd of Bayville, NJ her cherished granddaughters, Veronika Todd and Marlena Todd and her devoted brother, Josef Weithmann of Staten Island, NY. Elfriede enjoyed cooking and baking in the German tradition, gardening, caring for her pets and most of all spending time with her loved ones. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held at The Church of Saint John, East Stroudsburg, PA on Sat. Oct. 20, 2007 at 11:00 AM. Relatives and friends will be received on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Norman Dean Homes for Services 16 Righter Ave. Denville, NJ.
