Mary Margaret Smedberg "Peggy", 91 passed away on Monday November 26, 2012.
Peggy was predeceased by her husbands Steve Petrilak (WW II Pilot Killed in Action) and Arthur A. Smedberg Jr.
Peggy is survived by her two daughters Carol Beckwith and Debra Aiuto and her husband Hugo, and her son Arthur A. Smedberg III and his wife Suzanne, and her six grandchildren, Cindi Himple, Rich Beckwith, James Vazquez, Caroline Aiuto, Matthew Smedberg, and Alyson Smedberg, and her five great grandchildren, Matthew, Jonathon, Sarah, Jayden, and Keira.
"Mom was so happy to be able to stay home and raise her family. She was proud and happy to be a Football/Baseball Mom. Her focus was her two daughters and her son's families and their wellness."
"At a time in her life back in the 1940's she was a night club performer in New York City and New Jersey clubs and lounges. Her performing name was Peggy Sherwood."
Her and Dad met while working at ITT in the early 1950's. "We all loved taking care of each other as we traveled life's journey."
Peggy's funeral service will be conducted at Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave., Denville, NJ www.normandean.com, (please share a memory of Peggy on website), on Saturday December 1st at 11am committal and interment service at Rockaway Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Relatives and friends will be received on Friday 4-7pm.
