Walter C. "Pap" Thomas Jr. Passed away on September 23, 2007 at Easton Hospital.
He was 78 years old.
Born in Easton, PA to Walter C. and Laura (Pixley) Thomas on October 9, 1928, he had lived in Bethlehem Township before moving to Pen Argyl many years ago.
Walter had worked for many years as a salesman for various businesses throughout the Lehigh Valley. He enjoyed bowling in his younger years, as well as trips to the Thousand Islands in Canada which he and Nan would take every year. He was affectionately known to all his family members as Pap, and he always had a Joke to tell every time you would see him, in fact he was still telling jokes in the hospital days before he passed.
He is predeceased by his beloved wife of 53 years, Eleanor Beatrice "Nan" Thomas on October 12, 2005.
His children Walter C. (& Rosemarie) Thomas III of Palmer Twp., Linda (& Steve) Margeson of Bethlehem Twp., Barbara (& Bud) Stump of Bangor, and Carol (& Tom) Fox of Easton survive him. His Grandchildren Tracy (& Dave) Milne of Denville, NJ, Troy Margeson of Bethlehem, Twp., Tammy Margeson of Harrisburg, PA, Denine (& Dan) Borger of Elizabethtown, PA, Dodie Russo of Bangor, Mark (& Angela) Fox of Nazareth, Dan Fox of Easton, and Tom & Wendy Fox of Nazareth, PA also survive him. His Great Grandchildren Jordyn & Mackensey Milne, Jaelyn West , Nicole Fragano , Jessica Jones, Makennah Giamoni, Justin Borger, Courtney, Ryan & Brooke Fox, Kimberly and David Ruiz also survive him.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday September 27, at 1PM at the Sovereign Grace Baptist Church in Phillipsburg, NJ prior to joining Nan in their eternal resting place at the Thousand Islands in Canada.
