Following almost a year of being in a persistent vegetative state from an inoperable aneurysm and stroke. Betty passed away on day/date at her home in Rockaway Township.
Betty was born in Nanticoke, PA, she lived most of her life in Rockaway Township, NJ. On June 25, 1960, Betty was united in marriage to Clem C. Lankowski, they were together fro 47 years. She was a member of St. Cecelia church in Rockaway. Betty was a private independent woman who took pride in her home. She had a love for lighthouses and was a big Mets and Elvis fan. In her retirement she enjoyed doing home improvement projects, gardening, movies, and spending time with her husband.
Her brother in law Richard and sister in law Kathy predeceased her.
Her husband Clem C. Lankowski, her two sons, Clem Jr. and Daniel, her daughter Diane, and grandchildren Vanessa, Niko, Hunter, and Zach, her four sisters and their husbands, Irene and Joe, Marie and Adam, Carol and Mike, Jean and Mike, her brother in law Bernard, sister in law Patricia, and many wonderful nieces, nephews, cousins and friends survives Betty.
The funeral will be conducted from the Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Avenue, Denville, NJ www.normandean.com (light a candle in memory of Betty on web site), on Wed. Sept. 26, at 8:30AM for an am Liturgy of Christian Burial service at St. Cecelia Church, Rockaway, NJ at 9:30AM. Relatives and friends will be received on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9pm. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory to the charity of your choice.
