Obituary of George Kraus

George Kraus died on Friday June 1, 2007 at the Franciscan Oaks Health Center in Denville he was 84.
Born in Belgrade Yugoslavia he immigrated to the US in 1943. Served in the US Army during World War II as a Private First Class and was decorated with two Purple Hearts, the European African Middle Eastern Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal and WWII Victory Medal.
George was a graduate of Columbia University School of Engineering class of 1949 he received his Masters at Columbia in 1950 and his Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1957.
He worked for various Engineering firms and held several patents for personal rocket launchers, he retired in 1990.
Surviving are his wife Agnes (nee Furedi) son Andrew Kraus and his wife Dawn, daughter Anne Kraus-Keenan and her husband Brian Keenan.
