John A. Testa died on Monday May 21, 2007 at St. Clares Hospital in Denville he was 84. Born in Hoboken NJ, John was raised in Jersey City and resided in Cliffside Park until moving to Denville over thirty-five years ago. John served in the US Army during WWII and was a member of the VFW of Randolph Post 7333 and was also a member of the American Legion of Lake Hopatcong Post 245. He worked for New York Life in New York City for twenty years before retiring in 1985. John was also a private accountant and worked until a year ago. He was the past President and member of the Prince of Peace Church Council in Denville. John was a friend to all and loved by all who knew him. John is survived by his loving wife Myrtle (nee Schmidt), son Dennis and his wife Maryann, daughter Carol Lankenau and her husband Bill,his sister Dolores Bentavegna and brothers Michael and Salvatore Formisano. Six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren also survive him. A funeral service will be held for John on Friday May 25, 2007 at 10:00am at the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 10 Knoll Drive, Denville. Visitation will be held on Thursday May 24, from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the Norman Dean Home For Services 16 Righter Ave, Denville NJ 07834 www.normandean.com.
