Marvin "Roy" Stoner passed away at Troy Hills Center in Parsippany, NJ.
He was 90 years old.
Born in Millersburg, IA, he grew up and was married in Cedar Rapids, IA, prior to moving to Lake Swannanoa, NJ in 1956, and then to Rockaway Twp., NJ 6 years ago.
Roy attended college at the University of Wisconsin and finished at NYU and Rutgers.
He was the manager of the technical division of S.A.E. in New York City & Pittsburgh, PA for 36 years prior to retiring in 1982.
Roy is pre-deceased by his sisters Beth and Ruth.
His wife of 67 years, Valena M. (Elmore) of Rockaway Twp., NJ survives him.
His children Maureen & Jack Wiswall of Boonton Twp, NJ, Skip & Linda Stoner of Burleson, TX, and Douglas & Barb Stoner of Niskayuna, NY also survive him.
His 10 grandchildren Courtney & John Kehmna, Matt & Hasna Wiswall, Kyle & Kelsey Wiswall, Kristin & Christopher Koehler, Kara Wiswall, Todd & Kristine Stoner, Kimberly Stoner, Brett & Shaylynn Stoner, Ryan & Katie Stoner, Kate & Andy Lightcap also survive him.
His 10 Great Grandchildren Fatima, Abbas, Perry, Zainab, Alexis, Sadiq, Riley, Jaxon, Isabella and Sammy also survive him as well as his sister Mary Stiefel and brother Dean Stoner both of Florida.
Funeral arrangements by Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave Denville, NJ www.normandean.com will be held at the Oak Ridge Presbyterian Church in Oak Ridge, NJ on Tuesday May 8, at 11AM. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9PM.
